We broker the buying and selling of raw gold in dust and rock form. We are agents to players operating within the gold industry in Congo and Uganda and the rest of the world, from artisan and professional miners to jewellery companies and goldsmiths.
The History of Gold
The Mining industry of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a significant factor in the world’s production of cobalt, copper, diamond, tantalum, tin, and gold as well.
It is the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s largest source of export income. In 2009, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) had an estimated $24 trillion in untapped mineral deposits, including the world’s largest reserves of coltan and significant quantities of the world’s cobalt.
Much mining has been done in small artisanal mining operations, sometimes known as Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM). These small-scale mines are unregulated, they produce one of finest grades of gold and other materials.
Uganda as the single most important route of gold. Due to peace that has been around in Uganda and the fact that Congo is a land locked country.
Uganda has been for years now the single most important route for minerals from Congo to the rest of the world.
This has made Uganda open refineries’ companies even though it does not mine gold at large scale. More than 90% of the gold refined in Uganda comes from DRC Congo.
